Heating - Forced Convention Blower Heater
Calienté’s FCH Forced Convection Heaters are an excellent option when an entire enclosure and its contents need to be cost-effectively heated. The designs are compact and easily mounted with standard-sized 35mm DIN clips.

By utilizing either standard resistance, or self-regulating PTC technology, there is built-in safety from overheating, and the benefit of multi-voltage operation. Higher wattage versions and DC units can be configured with standard resistance elements where there is an inrush current concern. They are also excellent for anti-condensation applications, and are a much safer alternative to standard strip heaters. Calienté offers a variety of sizes, ranging from compact DC powered heaters for camera lens defogging, to 80mm AC version yielding 800 plus watts to heat larger areas.
Benefits
- Self-Regulating PTC Technology – Resistance increases as temperature increases, lowering current draw and power output. Higher wattage at lower temperatures, lower wattage at
- higher temps.
- Versatility – Ideal for cold starts/proper function of sensitive electronics and battery back up systems, as well as preventing condensation. DC units also available.
- Ease of Installation – DIN clip (35mm) allows for quick mounting, Controls can easily be integrated into heater.
- Compact Design – Low profile ideal for cabinets with space constraints.
- Overall Value – Cost-effective heating for small to mid-sized cabinets, enclosures and
- related hardware.
Applications
- Cabinet heaters for outdoor electronic enclosures and kiosks
- Cold start heaters for temperature sensitive electronics
- Warm air heaters for medical patient comfort devices
- Anti-condensation heaters
- Lower wattage natural convection heaters also available
