Caliente
worked with a manufacturer of outdoor lighting products to provide
a heating system for a backup battery system. Space was at a
premium, so a thin pad heater was designed to wrap around the multicell
device, but a control was also required. Caliente worked with
the customer on a board design that could be potted to the back surface
of the heating element, which eased any additional mounting/space concerns,
and created a hermetic seal against the caustic effects of the outdoor
enviroment.
